  • 2014-15 marks his 11th season coaching the men’s cross country and track and field teams at Virginia Wesleyan
  • 2008 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Co-Coach of the Year
  • Earned a B.A. in English, and a minor in psychology, from North Central College in Illinois in 2001
  • Has coached runners to 54 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors for Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, 12 All-South awards, two ODAC Rookie of the Year honors for Cross Country, one Provisional National Qualifier for Outdoor Track and Field, and five NCAA Division III championship qualifiers for Cross Country.
  • 2002, 2003, 2004 Boston Marathon qualifier
  • Competed in cross country for North Central College, which has placed in the NCAA Division III national championship meet for 36 consecutive years, winning 13 national titles, and has won 36 consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championships
  • Competed in outdoor track and field for NCC, which won the 2000 and 2001 CCIW championship and the 2000 NCAA Division III National championship, the fourth national title for the College
  • Coached by Al Carius, who was featured in Sports Illustrated at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Coach of the Century
