Multiple Marlins Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors
NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Multiple members of the men's and women's track and field teams earned All-Region honors for the outdoor season as the squads were announced.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
The All-South/Southeast Region selections on the women's side covered multiple events between track, field, and jumps.
Nikki Burns earned acknowledgment for the javelin while Marissa Coombs was honored for the 800m and 1,500m. Rolonda Taylor also earned all-region for two different events, the high jump and long jump.
The men's side saw it's 4x400m relay continue to garner recognition as the team of Chrishaud Hawkins, A.J. Ramirez, Marquis Sivels, and Trey White earned All-South/Southeast Region honors. Hawkins also garnered an all-region spot for his performance in the 400m hurdles.
