Marlins cruise to 8-1 victory over LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. - Brian Luke (Virginia Beach/First Colonial) won his fifth straight match at No. 1 singles to lead Virginia Wesleyan past LaGrange 8-1 Wednesday in a non-conference match.

The victory was the Marlins' third in their last four matches.

Luke was one of five Marlins to produce singles victories, along with No. 2 Ryan Sadinski (Cheaspeake, Va./Great Bridge), No. 3 Donnie Greathouse (Yorktown, Va./Grafton), No. 4 Griffin Graves (Middleburg, Va./Middleburg Academy) and No. 6 Darrell Fountain (Toano, Va./Lafayette). Virginia Wesleyan also swept all three doubles matches.

Virginia Wesleyan will return to action on Wednesday, March 28 at Hampden-Sydney.
