Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis blanks Cabrini

VIRGINIA BEACH --- The Virginia Wesleyan Men's tennis team posted an impressive performance in a 9-0 decision over the Cavaliers of Cabrini College at the brand new Everett Tennis Center. The match was postponed to Tuesday due to poor weather conditions yesterday.

The Marlins took a 3-0 lead after a sweep of doubles highlighted by  an 8-0 victory from #3 doubles: Steven Bond (Chesterfield, Virginia) and Griffin Graves (Middleburg,Va/Middleburg Acad.). The Marlins only dropped two points in all three doubles.

The Marlins would come back to complete the sweep by winning all six singles in straight sets. Sophomore Ryan Sadinski (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) didn't drop a point in a 6-0, 6-0 decision. However it was Darrell Fountain (Toano, Va.) who clinched the match-deciding point for Virginia Wesleyan College with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number six singles.

The Marlins resume competition this Friday when they face Hood and Goucher in Baltimore, Maryland for 11:00am and 3:00pm contest.
