  • 2014-15 marks Coach Macedo's 15th season as head coach at Virginia Wesleyan College, where he has guided the Marlins to a 314-100 record overall, a 181-59 regular-season mark in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competition and to 10 straight NCAA tournament appearances with a 21-9 NCAA tournament record
  • Selected as the Virginia College Division Coach of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors in 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2008-09, 2010-11, 2011-12
  • Current 76% winning average ranks him No. 1 among all of VWC's men's basketball coaches and one of the highest in the country
  • Has guided VWC to Old Dominion Athletic Conference championships in 2005, 2006, 2009, 2012, and 2014, and to six regular-season first-place finishes
  • Has coached Marlin teams to a 21-9 record in NCAA tournament games, helping to establish VWC as Virginia's Division III all-time leader in NCAA tournament victories with an overall record of 22-15
  • Guided Virginia Wesleyan to a 30-3 record in 2006 and to its first National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III national championship in any sport
  • Led the Marlins to a 28-5 record and the national runner-up trophy in 2007

  • Prior to coming to VWC, he was a two-year assistant basketball coach at Wilkes University, his alma mater, where the team compiled a 46-11 record, earned two Freedom League championships, one Middle Atlantic Conference championship and made two trips to the NCAA tournament and one Final Four appearance
  • A four-year starting point guard for Wilkes, guiding the Colonels to an 89-22 record, two league championships, and two appearances in the NCAA's Elite Eight in 1995 and 1996
  • Inducted into the Somerset Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002

  • 2010 graduate of Guilford College
  • B.A., Sports Management, Business minor
  • Former program coach at Division I University of North Carolina-Charlotte, where his varied duties including working as the recruiting coordinator, direction camps, in charge of all advance scouting reports
  • Former assistant coach at Randolph-Macon College, where he the recruiting coordinator for the southeast region, the assistant director for all camps, in charge of guard play, and helped guide the 2011-12 team to a 21-7 record and a berth in the NCAA tournament
  • A former member of the Washington Generals basketball team, traveling and competing in 22 countries against the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters
  • All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honoree twice while at Guilford, where he scored over 1,000 points
  • Played on three ODAC regular season championship teams and two conference tournament championship teams
  • Voted to the NCCSIA College Division men's basketball team in 2009 and was the starting point guard on two NCAA Final Four teams
