Marlins headed to Fredericksburg for Sweet 16 competition

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Virginia Wesleyan College's men's basketball Marlins will stay in the state of Virginia for their Sweet 16 competition in the NCAA Division III championship tournament.

The Marlins will compete in Fredericksburg at the University of Mary Washington, beginning Friday, March 14.  VWC (24-6) will face the host Eagles (24-5) of UMW at 7:30 p.m. Massachusetts' Williams College Ephs (25-4) and Connecticut's Albertus Magnus College Falcons (28-2) will collide in the first game at 5:30 p.m. The winners of those games will meet on Saturday, March 15, at 7p.m. at the same site.

Virginia Wesleyan and UMW met earlier this season in Fredericksburg where the Eagles pulled out a 95-87 win in double overtime.
