Woodmore is ODAC Player of the Week
FOREST, Va. -- D.J. Woodmore is the Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.
The Marlin sophomore from Virginia Beach (Landstown) was part of a balanced scoring attack for No. 2-ranked Virginia Wesleyan in an 86-56 non-conference victory over Shenandoah University on Dec. 17. He scored 14 points and hit consistently from the field, including long range. Woodmore nailed 5-of-10 shots overall, but also connected on 4-of-7 three-point attempts.
In addition to his scoring, Woodmore pulled down four rebounds, three off the offensive boards, and he dished out five assists, the second highest total in the game. He also had one steal.
Woodmore currently leads VWC scoring with 15.8 points per game. He leads the Marlins with 20 triples made and 22 free throws made.
Virginia Wesleyan is currently 7-1 and hosts the Wolverines of Wesley College (Delaware) on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. at the Jane P. Batten Student Center.
