Virginia Wesleyan drops to No. 7 in national poll

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Virginia Wesleyan College's men's basketball team remains among the Top 10 teams in the nation.

The Marlins, who lost for the first time last Saturday, a 64-61 decision at Guilford College, dropped five spots from No. 2 to No. 7 in the recent D3hoops.com national Top 25.  VWC recovered quickly from the loss however, rolling to an 86-59 victory over Bridgewater College.

Ohio's College of Wooster remains in the No. 1 position with an 18-0 record and 21 first-place votes.  Washington's Whitworth University (17-0) is No. 2, followed by Illinois' Augustana College (17-0).  Five of this week's top six teams are still undefeated.

VWC is one of three Old Dominion Athletic Conference schools to earn national ranking.  Randolph-Macon College (16-2) is currently No. 9 and Eastern Mennonite University (13-4) is No. 18.
