Dear Friend of Virginia Wesleyan Field Hockey,

As the Virginia Wesleyan College field hockey team heads into what promises to be an intense and exciting season, I wanted to make sure our family and friends of the program were equipped with all the vital information from the “coach’s clipboard.”

Checklist:

“Goals and Goose Eggs”

Join our annual fundraiser and your contributions will directly benefit the VWC field hockey program by underwriting the expenses we incur throughout the year including equipment, travel and recruiting.

I invite you to pledge a specific dollar amount for every goal scored and every shutout recorded by the team during our season, including post-season tournaments.  Many people choose to support the team on both statistics, giving $5 per goal and per shutout.  You may also donate a single amount regardless of the statistics.

At the conclusion of our season, I will send you a summary of the statistics and how you can contribute according to your pledge.  Pledge sheets are enclosed and will be accepted throughout the season.

 Field Hockey Newsletter

I hope you will take time to read our Field Hockey Newsletter, which is posted online. You will find our top story to include information on our new "home."  We will be practicing and playing some of our home games at America’s most well-known field hockey complex, the USA Field Hockey National Training Center.
